About this tool

The W-Plot — also called the Relationship Arc — tracks two parallel character threads instead of one protagonist. Character A and Character B each carry their own wound, their own false belief about love, and their own transformation, and the relationship between them is what drives both arcs to resolution. The W shape is the dual rise and fall of two people learning to open to each other, and the three crossing points — The Meet, the Midpoint Valley, and the Grand Gesture — are the hinges the whole structure turns on.

The rule underneath it is unforgiving: both characters must transform. Not one changed by the other. Both. This dashboard is built to hold you to that, with dedicated Character A and Character B thread tracking, a visual W-shape on the Overview, and paired character fields that run through every beat.
