About this tool

Seven points is not what makes this structure different. The order is. You write the Resolution first — the state your protagonist ends in — then the Hook as its exact opposite, then the two Plot Turns that move between them, then the Midpoint, and only last the two Pinches where the opposition applies force. Filled in reading order, the seven points are a competent outline. Filled backwards, they are a machine for making sure your ending is the one your beginning demanded.
